Description
Soft, fragrant, and delicate, the “Peony / Prolific” tray radiates a sense of calm. The main motif of the tray, the flower itself also recalls a mythic history. The peony is named after Paeon, a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. In Greek mythology, Zeus saved Paeon from the jealousy of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower.
The “Peony” tray encapsulate this mythic tradition as the central area of the melamine canvas is filled with the budding flower. Hand drawn sketches and brush work in a digital medium bridge ancient pasts and new technology, creating a mix of harmonization and surprise.Measurements of the Totem Trays include Small (20 x 11.5cm / 10.6 x 4.5in), Medium (27 x 20cm / 10.6 x 7.9in), and Large (43 x 33cm / 16.9 x 12.9in).
